Jn 6:67: harsh words, confronting words.... but the question that should we should ask ourselves everyday.

50 days ago Easter - hope after death. Today, Hope continues. Hope that the Church which began with a group of people, with limitations similar to each one of us, overcame their fear and began their ministry to bring the Good News to all.
The Church - saints and sinners all together. May we, all together, rise above our limitations and believe that we are people of the Alleluia, people of Hope, people of Promise. Above all, we are a people that can do so much to bring peace to the little world we live in. Holy Week. Is it the gradual crescendo of the week's event that we read in the Gospels this week that make us more prepared to celebrate the Alleluia? I'm inclined to think that it may be as unlike Christmas, there is a concentrated effort to prepare oneself. So, go ahead, prepare!!
Time goes by quickly. Not so long ago we were preparing for Easter. Now, as we move into Holy Week, the road we began so confidently, paved with little promises to do or not to do things in preparation takes us to the ONE who did what was promised: Love unto death!
